Total Recorder Standard Edition provides basic functionality for recording, converting, and processing digital audio.

Total Recorder Standard Edition Main Features:

Support for compressed and uncompressed RIFF-WAV,
MP3,
WMA,
Ogg
Vorbis, FLAC,
APE formats. Additionally, under Windows 7 and above,
AAC Audio within MOV
(for playback only), MPEG-4,
and
3GP containers is supported.
- Record streaming audio or local audio files
reproduced by other programs, such as Windows Media Player,
iTunes, etc., without using special lines of your sound board
and without a loss of quality due to redundant conversions from
digital to analog to digital. People using screen readers may
set the program not to record their output. Additional options

- Record VoIP (Voice over IP) calls or Internet-telephony
conversations when using programs like Skype, Google
Talk, Yahoo voice, MSN, etc. Both parties can be recorded in
a VoIP conversation. For more information, see the Recording

- Record any sound passing through any line of your
sound card. For example, you can record sound being
played back by an external program, or sound from a microphone,
an external LP, cassette, CD/DVD player, AM/FM/Satellite radio,

- Use the Recording Wizard to help you customize
Total Recorder settings based on the sound you are going to
record.
- Record directly in any supported sound format.
PCM, MP3, WMA, Ogg Vorbis, FLAC, APE and any format provided
by a system codec are supported. For more information, see the

- Convert files between any of the supported
audio formats. For more information, see the Sound

- Create and edit file tags. Total Recorder
can work with file tags for any of the supported media formats.
Tags can also include artwork and the recording's start time.
- Normalize audio recordings to adjust the
level of sound. Normalization of MP3 files is performed without
re-encoding or any loss of quality.
- Schedule playbacks or recordings using Total
Recorder's powerful built-in scheduler. For more information,

- Export/import configuration settings and scheduled
jobs is useful if you need to reinstall your system,
move Total Recorder from one computer to another, or as a backup.
- Perform general operations on playlists,
such as add files to a playlist, rename files from a playlist
using tag information, save a playlist, etc. Statistics, including
the total duration and the total size for selected files in
a playlist, can be displayed.

How to obtain Total Recorder
Generally, the steps you should take to buy Total Recorder are as follows:
- Download and install a no-cost evaluation copy of the program to make sure it addresses your requirements and runs properly on your PC.
- Try the product. We have prepared a FAQ-page and a number of tutorials to help you achieve your goals faster. Free and fast technical support is provided even with the no-cost evaluation version of our products.
- You must purchase a registration from us. Please refer to the purchase page on our web site for the various payment options.
- We will send you an email with a registration code.
- You plug the registration code into the evaluation version and you will then have a fully functioning version of the program.
Trial Version
You can download tr86se.exe
and run it to install the no-cost evaluation version of Total Recorder
Standard Edition. The evaluation copy is a fully functional version
of the program with the exception that an audible noise will be
inserted about every 60 seconds throughout each recording you make.
For unlimited audio recording without the insertion of an audible
noise, you must purchase
a Total Recorder license.
Updating & Upgrading
Total Recorder Standard Edition Version 8.6 is
available free of charge to purchasers of previous versions of the
Standard Edition. To update your version of Total Recorder, please
download
the latest version of Total Recorder and install it on the top of
the existing install. If you install Total Recorder version 8.6
over version 6.x , 7.x or 8.x, all of the Total Recorder settings
and registration information are preserved.
For a limited time only, licensed users of Total Recorder Standard Edition can upgrade to the Professional Edition or VideoPro Edition for an upgrade fee of $18.00 or $36.00 US
respectively. Registered users of the Standard Edition should use this link to purchase the Professional Edition, at the upgrade price. Users of the Standard Edition should use this link purchase the VideoPro Edition, at the upgrade price.
When you upgrade, the installation of the Professional Edition or the VideoPro Edition will remove the Standard Edition from your PC. If you evaluate the Professional Edition or the VideoPro and decide not to purchase it, you must re-install the Standard Edition and specify your Standard Edition registration key. Your registration key for the Standard Edition cannot be used for the Professional Edition and the VideoPro Edition.

System Requirements
Total Recorder Standard Edition requires: a sound
card, and a 32-bit or 64-bit version of Microsoft Windows XP (SP2
or later), Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 or Windows 11. If
