FLAC and Total Recorder
FLAC is a lossless audio codec. Lossless means that if you encode uncompressed (PCM) data into FLAC format and then decode the resulting FLAC file, the decoded file will be exactly the same as the original PCM file.
Support for FLAC format is built into Total Recorder. You do not need to download any additional software or libraries to work with FLAC format.
Total Recorder supports FLAC format based on the FLAC libraries. You can display the version of the FLAC libraries being used on the "FLAC" dialog (menu Options -> Settings, Formats tab). Note that Total Recorder supports FLAC files only in "native" FLAC format; Ogg-FLAC files are not supported.
