Enhance Functionality

You can enhance Total Recorder's functionality through the use our great add-ons:

Digital Mixer, Graphic Equalizer and other FREE add-ns.
Audio Restoration Add-on is designed to remove distortions such as clicks, crackles, and background noise, and provides high-quality restoration of audio recorded from LPs, tapes and microphones.
Automatic Gain Control and Speech Enhancement Add-on enhances the recording and playback of both the music and the spoken word. It includes digital AGC (Automatic Gain Control), dynamic range adjustment and intelligent suppression of background noise.

What's new in Total Recorder 8.0

The Developer Edition 8.0 can work with video because it has all of the features of our new VideoPro Edition. Now it let's you play, record, and edit video files in AVI, WMV or FLV format.
The program has been redesigned and restructured to provide a more intuitive and user-friendly interface. We've tried to give a fresh look and feel to Total Recorder.
A new kernel-mode filter driver is introduced that simplifies the settings for recording in software mode and resolves some of the problems with older types of Total Recorder drivers.
Support for audio files in Monkey's Audio (APE) format is added. Since it is a lossless format, a Monkey's Audio encoded file sounds exactly the same as an original.
Total Recorder can save an audio file with a different speed than the speed with which it was recorded.
Ability to specify a pre-defined recording level for recording from a sound board. This level is automatically set when a recording starts and the original level is restored when the recording completes.
Many other minor enhancements.

Notes:

The 6.x key (must begin with TRD6) of Total Recorder Developer Edition is valid for version 8.0 of the program.
Total Recorder supports only Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 beginning with Version 8.0. If you want to use Total Recorder with an older operating system, follow this link.
